The interior design of the newly built house in Łany was created for clients with a passion for classic style and elegance. Our task was to blend the modern elements dictated by the building’s form — such as the large triangular window and sloped roof — with the elegant, townhouse-inspired style envisioned by the clients.
The centerpiece and main decorative element of the living room is a ceramic lamp designed by Pani Jurek, which echoes the main accent color of the interior — cobalt blue.
In the open kitchen connected to the living room, we modified the original cabinet layout that had been proposed in the architectural design. We focused on functionality by replacing the peninsula with an island and designing additional storage space for small kitchen appliances. Functionality is not everything—we fulfilled the homeowner’s dream of having a display cabinet to showcase her ceramic collection. To avoid this element overpowering the rest of the interior, we suggested a light and airy design. The display cabinet is made of glass panels and is suspended above the floor.
In the upstairs bathroom, due to the sloped ceilings, we opted for a freestanding bathtub. Its originality is enhanced by ribbed finishes and LED lighting.
